TheraVita is leading the Global Bread Intake (GBI) Study, a large-scale initiative designed to improve how bread intake is measured and compared across countries and population subgroups.
Lesaffre is the project sponsor, and Tufts University is a core scientific partner, bringing complementary expertise in dietary assessment, evidence frameworks, and health-aligned research.
The aim is straightforward and high-impact: deliver decision-ready evidence on global patterns of total bread, whole-grain bread, and refined bread intake—using methods designed for transparency, comparability, and real-world usability by stakeholders.
